Tag rugby is played to the same style of rules as normal rugby league. For example no forward passing, can't be offside from a kick etc. Underneath are the differences between tag rugby and full contact rugby
  • A maximum of seven players starting.
  • A Maximum of three subsititues.
  • A maximum of ten players in a team.
  • Players can represent both A and B sides as long as neither squad goes over the 10 players limit. Failure to do so could see group points docked if occurs in the group stages or automatic defeat is occurs in the knockout stages
  • Each team must allocate a referee.
  • Each team must pay the £20 entry fee
  • There will be NO kicking allowed in the tournament.
  • There will be NO hand offs, if this takes place then a penalty against the attacking team will be used.
  • Yellow card results in 5mins in the bin.
  • You stop the player, but you have to make an attempt to get the tag, if you don’t, it will be a penalty.
  • You can run from the play of the ball, but you cant score a try from doing so.
  • The Ball has to be played properly.
  • Players have to stand 5m from where the tackle has been played.
